Linn is located on KS Hwy 15 in Washington County. Linn was first named “Summit” by surveyors, because it was at the highest point of the Missouri Pacific Railroad.  The name was later changed to Linn and the city was platted in 1883.

The City Park offers a swimming pool during the summer, two baseball/softball diamonds, RV hook-ups, a picnic area and shelter houses.

Linn is home to the “Linn Picnic”, an annual summer event, which includes one of the biggest demolition derby’s around as well as kids games and a downtown parade.
